Camping Groups

The Iroquois County Fairgrounds offers a "home away from home" for camping groups to meet and relax away from their individual homes.  The Fairgrounds does not accomodate campers on an individual basis.

The Iroquois County Fairgrounds are located 2 miles north of Crescent City, IL on Rt 49.  Crescent City is 8 miles east of I-57 (exit 283) on Rt 24 ... or 40 miles west of I-65 (exit 201) in Indiana on Rt 24.

The Iroquois County Fairgrounds offers:
  • 300 camp sites with either 30 Amp or 50 Amp electric
  • All camp sites have water and some have gray water drains
  • A shower house with 10 showers
  • A large men/women's restroom
  • 4-H Center Building (60' x 120') adjacent to camping area with additional restrooms, limited kitchen, meeting room, large event space, 35 tables, 350 chairs, stage, 4 large fans. (No Air Conditioning or Heat in large event space.)
  • Few other covered structures for possibility of individual events.
  • An 80-acre site offering limitless opportunities for outside events
 
Cost:
  • $19 per camper per night.
  • $2 per camper for garbage (per week)
  • $150 for Building (if used)
  • Vendors will be charged for electric and garbage per cost.
 
Rules:
  • Camping groups must provide a Certificate of Insurance.
  • Fairgrounds and Buildings used must be returned to original condition.
  • Ground Fires are not permitted in the camping area.  Ground Fires are only allowed in a designated area adjacent to the camping area using a provided Fire Pit (if requested).

The Iroquois County Fair is a 501c3 entity and run by volunteers.  Money generated by events is exclusively used to benefit our county and area youth.
 

All individuals requesting camping privileges shall agree to the following terms and conditions: The Iroquois County Agricultural and 4-H Club Fair Association, its Board of Directors, or representatives acting on their behalf shall be held harmless against any suit, action, claim, demand, lien, damage, fine, judgment, tort action, or decree; also, any expenses connected with the services or injuries pertinent to the usage of any fairgrounds building or services provided.

 

Any and all rules and regulations of the Association shall be observed by the individual(s) requesting camping privileges.  Failure to abide by the Fair Board policies and procedures will constitute disillusionment of this agreement.
